Chinese Mandarin
Our Chinese (Mandarin) program is designed for children growing up in an international or multilingual environment. Through structured, engaging, and age-appropriate instruction, students gradually build strong foundations in Chinese literacy, reading comprehension, oral expression, and cultural understanding.
Classes are taught in small groups and divided by level, allowing each student to progress at a comfortable and effective pace. From first characters to independent reading, our goal is to help students use Chinese with confidence.

How We Teach Chinese
We believe Chinese should be felt, understood, discussed, and used.
At Sommet College, Chinese is not limited to copying and memorization.
Through stories, games, guided discussions, and expressive activities, students move naturally from listening to speaking, from recognizing characters to using them meaningfully. Our classrooms are lively, supportive, and highly interactive, encouraging every child to participate actively.

Character Recognition & Meaning
Students learn 8–10 new characters per week using visual aids and clear explanations of structure and meaning.
Reading & Language Sense
Short texts and guided reading activities strengthen vocabulary, comprehension, and natural sentence patterns.
Recitation & Pronunciation
Regular recitation builds accurate pronunciation, tone awareness, and speaking confidence.
Speaking & Interaction
Students are encouraged to speak, ask questions, and express ideas, creating a highly participatory learning environment.
